Dr. Alexander Ricci

Dr. Alexander Ricci owns a medical practice in Fresh Meadows, New York, where he specializes in general ophthalmology. With more than 26 years of experience and membership in several professional societies, Dr. Ricci has proven to be a seasoned asset to the medical community.

Beginning his post-secondary education in Brooklyn, New York, at St. Francis College in 1973, Dr. Alexander Ricci graduated with honors and a Bachelor of Science in 1977. He immediately entered medical school at Xochicalco University in Baja California, Mexico, earning his Doctor of Medicine in 1981. After a year in the Fifth Pathway program at Brooklyn’s State University of New York Downstate Medical Center, Dr. Alexander Ricci served a one-year internship in internal medicine at Lutheran Medical Center.

Among Dr. Alexander Ricci’s current hospital affiliations is Syosset Hospital of the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System. He completed medical training at the same institution, with three years of residency between 1983 and 1986. During his final year, he held the title of Chief Resident in ophthalmology. He has also been involved with Flushing Hospital Medical Center and The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Now connected with a number of professional organizations, Dr. Alexander Ricci belongs to such groups as the New York State Ophthalmological Society, the Medical Society of the State of New York, and the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, Inc. Also a member of the Nassau County Medical Society and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Dr. Alexander Ricci believes in the importance of collaboration and discourse among colleagues.
