Over the last few decades, Dr.Bethany has educated children and adults as an ESL teacher, staff developer and trainer, educational program coordinator, college Political Science instructor and United Nations researcher. She has been educating adults online with an accredited university since 2005.

Dr.B’s recent efforts focus on issues related to innovative community based disability program policy, development, training and systems change in California. Bethany’s academic credentials include a B.A. in Applied Linguistics & TESL from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, a Masters of International Affairs and Communications from School of International & Public Affairs at Columbia University and a PhD in Educational Leadership & Public Policy from the University of Denver. Her dissertation titled, Parents as Change Agents in their Schools and Communities, continues to inspire parent groups to be relentless in their advocacy for high quality life long services for children and adults with disabilities.

As global traveler, societal praxis and cultural connoisseur, Bethany also enjoys living in and exploring California with her husband, children and three adorable cats. An artist at heart, she enjoys nature, water sports, writing poetry, singing at church, painting and weaving a life full of meaning for her son and others with disabilities.
