Dr. David Johnson

Based in the greater Tampa Bay Area of Florida, Dr. David Johnson is a professor at the University of South Florida in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health in the School of Public Health. He focuses on research and education at the Center for Toxicology and Risk Assessment. Prior to this role, Dr. David Johnson served with the Florida Department of Health. As medical director, his responsibilities extended to oversight of clinic services, environmental health programs, community health promotion programs, community health education, family health services, and epidemiology. Earlier in his career he served as Medical Director for Hospital based occupational medicine programs, in a family medicine practice and as clinic director for the USAF.

Dr. David Johnson of the greater Tampa Bay Area received his M.D. from the Wright State University School of Medicine in 1983. Subsequently, he earned his master of science in environmental health from the University or Cincinnati, Kettering Labs, and achieved the status of Certified Public Manager through the Florida State University as well as his master of health administration from the University of Florida.
