Dr. Elliot Gruen

In preparation for his career in the field of psychiatry, Dr. Elliot Gruen graduated as an undergraduate from Colby College and as a medical student from the New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. Further, he pursued his professional training at such intuitions as Maine Medical Center, the University of Massachusetts, and Pace University. Currently, Dr. Elliott Gruen brings his extensive education, training, and experience to the outpatient department of St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, Maine, where he performs as a general psychiatrist.

Apart from his responsibilities as a psychiatrist, Dr. Elliot Gruen is an avid sport fisherman with considerable freshwater and saltwater experience. One of his fondest fishing memories is fly-fishing in Yellowstone National Park. Also a skilled clawhammer banjo player, Dr. Gruen has performed in a number of small venues with his band. In addition, the experienced mental health practitioner recently traveled throughout Europe to explore historic churches and sample regional cuisine.
