Dr Erin Gardner

Commanding over a decade of experience as a physician, Dr. Erin Gardner provides patients with skin care and treatment services through his Missouri-based practice Dermatology Specialists of St. Louis, formerly Aesthetic Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Erin Gardner leverages particular expertise in Mohs surgery to perform the excision, dermatopathology, and reconstructive surgery in the treatment of non-melanoma skin cancers. He learned this state-of-the-art procedure under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Leonard Goldberg, who trained under the creator of the technique, Dr. Frederic Mohs. Dr. Erin Gardner graduated summa cum laude from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He subsequently enrolled in Vanderbilt University School of Medicine as a Fulbright and Swyers Foundation Scholar. During his first year of medical school, Dr. Erin Gardner served as the Secretary of the American Medical Association’s Vanderbilt Medical Chapter. In his final year, he earned Best Paper Submitted by a Resident/Student in the Dermatology/Plastic Surgery section of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery’s 16th annual meeting. From Vanderbilt University School of Medicine Dr. Erin Gardner moved on to Washington University School of Medicine’s Barnes-Jewish Hospital, where he conducted a yearlong internship in internal medicine. He completed his 3-year dermatology residency at Duke University School of Medicine, scored within the 97th percentile of individuals taking the American Board of Dermatology In-Training Examination, in the 99th percentile of persons taking the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 1, and in the 98th percentile of the USMLE Step 2. Dr. Erin Gardner launched his practice in 2002 and remains the sole operator and physician of the establishment. He also participates in the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS), the American Academy of Dermatology, and the Missouri Dermatological Society. He remains active in the alumni association of his alma mater and contributes to his community through support of organizations such as the Conservation Federation of Missouri and the Missouri Prairie Foundation.
