I'm an Associate Professor of public relations and social media at ASU's Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communication in Phoenix, Arizona, where I'm also currently Director of Research and Doctoral Studies. I'm a professional thought adventuress: I study complex systems and processes in communication and media, from identity to reputation to issue emergence to crises. I have three cats and love dogs, enjoy motorcycles and theatre and good food, adore traveling and living abroad, defy my accident-prone nature by dancing and running on mountain trails, and in my spare time am plotting world domination. (Luckily for the world, I have essentially no spare time.)
