Board certified in sleep medicine and internal medicine, Dr. John Krehlik is "Alaska's sleep doctor." A physician with more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Krehlik specializes in treating sleep disorders. He has experience treating snoring, sleep apnea, and restless leg syndrome, among many other disorders. He is the only board certified sleep specialist in Southeast Alaska.
Dr. John Krehlik received his MD at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He undertook his medical internship at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center and conducted his internal medicine residency at the University of Washington. Dr. Krehlik was certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1981. Upon moving to Alaska, he worked for the United States Public Health Service, for which he was a General Practitioner with the Alaska Native Medical Service. He also worked for the Veterans Administration and ran a private practice in internal medicine.
Today, Dr. John Krehlik has sleep clinics throughout Alaska. His primary office is in Anchorage and he has a second main office in Juneau. Dr. Krehlik received his American Board of Internal Medicine certification in Sleep Medicine in 2009.
