A Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Julia Katz possesses decades of medical experience. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in History from Yale University, Dr. Julia Katz continued her education at Harvard University, where she participated in a post-baccalaureate premedical studies program. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the New York University School of Medicine and subsequently completed a number of competitive postgraduate training programs. At The New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center, Dr. Katz completed an internship and residency in internal medicine. She then moved to the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital for a three-year residency in ophthalmology, where she was appointed Chief Resident for her final year. In 2000, Dr. Julia Katz secured a fellowship with Dr. Jack M. Dodick in cataract and refractive surgery. At present, she possesses admitting privileges at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital.

Dedicated to offering her patients the highest level of service, Dr. Julia Katz is certified in several advanced refractive technologies, including VisX Excimer Laser and VisX CustomVue. She remains abreast of new technologies and techniques to provide her patients with the latest in ophthalmic care, and is an active member of the New York State Ophthalmological Society, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Medical Society of the State of New York.
