Dr. Kamala Uzzell

As an adjunct lecturer at North Carolina Central University, the Director of Search Assessment for a top national executive recruitment firm, and the CEO of one of the leading mental health practices in North Carolina's Research Triangle Park area, Dr. Kamala Uzzell has gained a prestigious reputation among counseling and psychology professionals.

Dr. Uzzell was trained at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Campbell University and North Carolina State University. Her education, business success, professionalism, personality and extensive experience in topics related to mental health have led to her being a highly sought after counselor, executive and athletic mental performance coach, speaker, and panelist.

She has been a guest speaker for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs, Voorhees College, Shaw University, Duke University, North Carolina Central University and for many churches, high schools, sororities and community agencies. She has presented at several local and national conferences, and has been featured on The BOSS Network, the nationally syndicated Political Jones Show, Dr. Walter Sims's blog talk radio show - The Motivator and on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) as a guest therapist on the television show Unfaithful: Stories of Betrayal. Additionally, Dr. Uzzell has written Mental Health-related blogs for both JET Magazine and The BOSS Network and has been presented with awards for her contributions to the community and to the counseling and psychology profession.

Furthermore, Dr. Uzzell has served as a Title IX Investigator, provides Crisis Intervention Training for Durham's City and County First Responders, and is a certified administrator of the EQi 2.0 and EQi 360.
