Dr. Kimberly Frank

An expert in childhood and adolescent psychiatric disorders, Dr. Kimberly Frank treats patients at Northshore Counseling Center, part of the Aurora Behavioral Health Center, in Wisconsin. Utilizing an integrated biopsychosocial approach, Dr. Frank develops comprehensive treatment plans that are designed to benefit the patients at home and at school. She has concentrated her practice on children and adolescents since joining the facility, and she possesses particular expertise in the areas of ADHD and anxiety, trauma, mood, and autism spectrum disorders. Holding board certification in adult, child and adolescent psychiatry, Dr. Kimberly Frank has maintained Diplomate status with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in adult and child and adolescent psychiatry for more than 15 years. She previously served as an Oral Board Examiner for the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Kimberly Frank began preparing for her career in medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Zoology with distinction and held membership in the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society. Following graduation, Dr. Frank matriculated at the Medical College of Wisconsin to pursue her Doctor of Medicine. She subsequently completed her internship and residency training at Creighton University/University of Nebraska. A standout in the program, Dr. Kimberly Frank remained at the institution to complete a two-year fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry, earning Outstanding Fellow honors and presiding as the Chief Fellow in her final year. Upon completion of her medical training, Dr. Kimberly Frank relocated to North Carolina, where she worked in the Center for Mental Health at Carolinas Medical Center and served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Frank returned to Wisconsin in the late 1990s to provide psychiatric treatment to patients through Charter Behavioral Health Systems, Aurora Behavioral Health Systems, as well as adoption clinics.
