Dr. Lester Sandman laid the educational foundation for his career at the University of Washington, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Psychology in 1974. Subsequently, Dr. Sandman pursued his Master’s degree in Psychology at Antioch University. Furthering his education, he earned his M.D. from the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he graduated in 1986. Following the completion of his education, Dr. Lester Sandman began an internship at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, located in Washington, D.C. After completing his internship, he fulfilled a residency in psychiatry at the same institution.

Today, Dr. Lester Sandman oversees his own private psychiatric practice located in Washington. Since 1993, Dr. Lester Sandman has assisted thousands of patients with mood and anxiety disorders as well as most other general psychiatry problems. In addition to providing patient-focused care, he also offers analysis and assessments to regional primary care physicians in and around Kirkland and Bellevue, Washington.

While overseeing his own private practice, Dr. Lester Sandman served as Medical Director of Adult & Older Adolescent Services at Fairfax Hospital in Kirkland, Washington, from 1995 to 1997. Additionally, Dr. Sandman worked as Medical Director of Adolescent Services at the same hospital and as a Medical Consultant for Social Security Disability Services in Renton, Washington. A member of the Washington State Medical Association, the King County Medical Society, and the American Society of Forensic Medicine, Dr. Lester Sandman remains active in his field.
