Dr. Mark Kislinger MD

Known for his innovative approach to ophthalmology, Dr. Mark Kislinger was the first practitioner nationwide to offer an intraocular lens combination effective for both cataracts and astigmatism. The lens combines toric and multifocal correction, thus addressing the vision challenges presented by these complex conditions. A specialist in cataract surgery, Mark Kislinger, MD, has performed more than 10,000 procedures with zero instances of endophthalmitis.

Also distinguished as one of the few practitioners today with the ability to perform canaloplasty procedures for glaucoma, Dr. Mark Kislinger currently practices as medical director of the Foothill Eye Institute. Trained in his specialty at the nationally prominent Washington University ophthalmology residency program, he holds a doctor of medicine from the University of Miami's PhD to MD program. He attended the university following a distinguished career in academia, which included teaching posts at the Enrico Fermi Institute and the University of Chicago. A former research and teaching physicist, Dr. Kislinger has collaborated with four Nobel Prize recipients including scientist Richard Feynman.
