Dr Mel Lucas

A physician board certified in family medicine, Dr. Mel Lucas provides a high professional standard of treatment to his patients as medical director with the Patterson Medical Clinic in Florissant, Missouri. The clinic has been supporting community health for nearly 50 years by caring for individuals with conditions like diabetes and by conducting clinical trials. In recognition of Dr. Mel Lucas’ accomplishments, the American Diabetes Association and the National Committee for Quality Assurance both honored him for his quality diabetes care.

Complementing the above, Dr. Mel Lucas serves as medical director and principal investigator with PrimeCare Research in Florissant. The organization conducts original research into areas like coronary artery disease, nonmalignant pain, and erectile dysfunction. Over more than three decades, Dr. Lucas has worked as principal investigator on more than 200 studies.

In terms of nonprofit organizations, Dr. Lucas supports the American Heart Association and the American Red Cross. Further, he furnishes blood pressure and diabetes screenings at health fairs taking place on local college campuses and at community centers.
