Dr. Michael Snedden

A respected Orthopaedic Surgeon and medical practitioner who completed his M.D. at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia in 1979, Dr. Michael Snedden has enjoyed a long and dedicated career in the field of orthopaedic medicine and treatment. Prior to obtaining his M.D., Dr. Michael Snedden studied chemistry at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and graduated with distinction in 1975. Soon after, Dr. Michael Snedden was selected to participate in a surgery internship at Emory University and its affiliated hospitals in Atlanta, and he later completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson University and a Fellowship at the University of South Florida, where he focused on total joint replacement and adult reconstruction.

Dr. Michael Snedden obtained his Board Certification in orthopaedic surgery from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in 1986 and has since renewed his license regularly, following the Board’s standards. Dr. Michael Snedden is licensed to practice medicine in the states of Pennsylvania and Virginia, and he has practiced orthopaedics at Central Virginia Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Fredericksburg, Virginia. In addition to utilizing his expertise at this clinic, Dr. Michael Snedden has also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Jefferson Medical College and an Orthopaedic Surgeon at Mary Washington Hospital, Stafford Hospital, and Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Michael Snedden's career includes employment in the service of the United States Air Force at the Regional Medical Center in Wiesbaden, Germany, and he has performed as an Orthopaedic Surgeon or Consultant for Taylor Hospital, Haverford Hospital, Paoli Hospital, and Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital in Pennsylvania. In addition to practicing orthopaedics, Dr. Michael Snedden supports various charities, including the Cornerstone Christian Academy, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Jefferson Medical College, the University of Virginia, and Families of the Wounded Fund, Inc.
