Dr. Nitin Raut is a leader of the Congress party who is currently a cabinet minister in the Government of Maharashtra. He holds the position of Minister for Water Conservation and Employment Guarantee Scheme. Dr. Nitin Raut has been a member of the Congress party for the last forty years and has played a number of roles including Vice President of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee, General Secretary Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee, member of the Core Group and Media Committee, etc. His other areas of activity include study trips, publishing thesis papers, attending conferences, and carrying out social work through his NGO Sankalp.
