Board qualified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Dr Rande Lazar is a Fellow of the American College of International Physicians and a Regent in the International College of Surgeons. A member of numerous academies and associations, Dr. Rande Lazar is an innovative leader in the field of otolaryngology.

Dr. Rande Lazar functions with Otolaryngology Consultants of Memphis, providing comprehensive pediatric care for disorders of the ear, nose, and throat. With a practice that focuses primarily on pediatric ear, throat, tonsil, and sinus infections, Dr. Rande Lazar is also an expert on adult sleep apnea, snoring disorders, and corrective surgery for those problems. As the author of hundreds of papers and presentations on the care and treatment of otolaryngology issues, Dr. Rande Lazar served as the Editor of The Journal of Pediatric Endoscopic Surgery from 1997 to 2001.

Currently the Director of the Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship Training Program with Otolaryngology Consultants of Memphis at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital, Dr. Rande Lazar serves on the staff of the Methodist Hospitals of Memphis, Saint Francis Hospital, and Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Over the course of his medical career, Dr. Rande Lazar has contributed to technological advancements in the surgical treatment of sinus disorders. Serving on the Safety Committee for the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, Dr. Rande Lazar has presented numerous papers and taught workshops on advanced procedures for endoscopic nasal surgery utilizing state-of-the-art carbon dioxide (CO2) and potassium titanyl phosphate (KTP) lasers.

Awarded the 2010 Distinguished Service Award from the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Dr. Rande Lazar is only one of 23 physicians to receive the award. Dr. Rande Lazar created the Irving and Dorothy Lazar Scholarship, awarded annually to an outstanding student in biology at his alma mater, Brooklyn College.
