Dr. Robert Korwin

Red Bank, NJ

While earning his 1983 Certificate in General Practice Division of Advanced Dental Education from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Korwin trained in and practiced comprehensive orthodontic treatment, with conventional brackets and wires for advanced cases as well as for minor tooth movement for molar uprighting and extruding damaged teeth in need of repair. In 2004, Dr. Korwin became a Certified Invisalign provider, completing Levels I and II, as well as becoming certified in Temporo Mandibular Joint (TMJ) Analysis through Bio-Research Associates. Since then, Dr. Korwin has continually expanded his knowledge of orthodontics and use of Invisalign through courses, continuing education training and lectures. Dr. Korwin:

Studied advanced orthodontics (Finishing, Advanced Straight Wire Mechanics) in 2005.

Taught Invisalign seminars to dentists in 2008.

Took an extensive number of orthodontics and Invisalign related courses in 2009, including Essix Appliance Therapy, Clear Correct Clear Aligner Therapy, Improving Clinical Results with Invisalign, Posterior Intrusion and Closing Anterior Openbites, Lower Incisor Extraction Cases with Invisalign, Case Study: Severe Crowding/Crossbite, Approaching Class II/III Corrections with Invisalign and Predictable Treatment of Class II Correction with Invisalign

Has studied additional topics related to Invisalign in 2013, including Propel accelerated treatment, Closing Extraction Spaces; Treatment of Class I, II and III Cases; Occlusal Cant and TMD, Orthodontic Esthetics; and Snoring/Sleep Apnea and TMD

Dr. Korwin is one of only .01% of dentists worldwide with Fellowship and Mastership awards from both the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and the International College of Oral Implantologists. For the AGD, Dr. Korwin earned his Fellowship award based on completion of a rigorous exam covering all dental disciplines (with a strong focus on clinical applications) as well as a minimum 500 hours of continuing education. His Mastership Award required more than 1000 hours of continuing education, including 400 hours of hands-on participation and a minimum of 600 hours in specific areas such as orthodontics.
