Dr. Sasha Stiles

Dr. Sasha Stiles earned her Bachelor of Arts in Ethnomusicology from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1970 before progressing on to earn her Master of Public Health in Administration and Planning from the University of California, Berkeley in 1978. While completing her Master of Public Health, Dr. Sasha Stiles attended the University of California, San Francisco, where she earned her M.D. In addition to her extensive formal education, Dr. Sasha Stiles has also undergone several residencies and other professional enhancement opportunities, including a family practice residency at the Group Health Cooperative in Seattle from 1978 to 1981. Furthermore, Dr. Sasha Stiles participated in a LAC & USC Medical Center High Risk Obstetrics Fellowship as well as a Clinical Fellowship in Geriatrics at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu. Today, Dr. Sasha Stiles serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the New York University Langone Medical Center. She is also a distinguished Bariatrician at the NYU Langone Weight Management Program, a renowned and innovative initiative aimed at developing safe and effective techniques to assist individuals in achieving a medically healthy body weight. Through the program, Dr. Sasha Stiles has spearheaded several research projects related to weight loss. Prior to her work at New York University, Dr. Sasha Stiles honed her experience in leadership as a Medical Director of the Weight and Wellness Center at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, and additionally sharpened her skills as an instructor by serving as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Sasha Stiles has also served for a variety of other institutions in various capacities, including the Mahelona Medical Center in Kauai, Kaiser Permanente, Stanford University, Planned Parenthood of Hawaii, and the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Sasha Stiles is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, and also serves as a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners.
