Dr. Scott Tetreault

After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Wake Forest University, Dr. Scott Tetreault enrolled in the University of Florida to pursue post-baccalaureate studies in organic chemistry and physics. Dr. Tetreault then transferred to the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where he graduated with a Doctor of Medicine. He began an internship and residency in internal medicine through the University of Florida Health Science Center, Shands HealthCare, and the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida.

Moving west, Dr. Scott Tetreault then began a private practice with two locations: one in South Lake Tahoe, California, and the other in Gardnerville, Nevada. In January 1997, Dr. Tetreault accepted a post as Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Barton Memorial Hospital. Also in 1997, Dr. Scott Tetreault began an oncology fellowship at The Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California.

Following completion of the fellowship, Dr. Tetreault returned to Florida and established a private oncology practice in Sarasota, which he continues to manage to this day. Between 2004 and 2005, Dr. Tetreault served as Chairman of the Department of Medicine at the Doctors Hospital of Sarasota. In 2006, he served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medical Oncology at Florida State University College of Medicine and also as Clinical Professor of Medicine through Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida.

Dr. Scott Tetreault is licensed in Florida, Nevada, and California. He received board certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine and its Subspecialty of Medical Oncology, and the American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Scott Tetreault conducts large amounts of research, covering a range of cancer-related topics from the treatment of breast carcinoma to malignant melanoma to lung cancer.

A published author, he writes on subjects such as leukemia. Dr. Tetreault maintains professional memberships with many organizations, including the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, an
