Dr Stephen Lucie

An orthopaedic surgeon with a focus on sports medicine, Dr. Stephen Lucie has practiced at Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute for more than two decades. He emphasizes a personalized approach in caring for patients, who include athletes and weekend warriors seeking a pain-free, healthy lifestyle. Dr. Stephen Lucie has undertaken more than 10,000 surgeries over the years and utilizes leading-edge techniques in performing total joint replacements. Among his areas of expertise are robot-assisted, partial knee replacements and minimum-incision surgery.

Dr. Stephen Lucie completed his BA in chemistry at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and his MD at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. For his orthopaedics residencies, he went to the University of Colorado Affiliated Hospitals and Rancho Los Amigos Hospital in California. A longtime member of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Lucie has served as a sports medicine consultant or as a team physician with a diversity of collegiate and high school athletic programs as well as professional teams.
