In an impressive career spanning over two decades, neurosurgeon Dr. Steven Jacobs has treated patients, trained residents, published numerous research articles, presented his findings at dozens of conferences, and developed and patented a new cancer treatment for solid tumors using neutron therapy. As the current President and Chief Executive Officer of New York Neurosurgical PLLC, Dr. Steven Jacobs dedicates his career to providing the best treatment for patients with brain and spine injuries and disorders. His clinical interests include neurosurgical oncology and immunology of neoplasia. In addition to his work with the clinic, Dr. Steven Jacobs also helps to train future neurosurgeons at New York Medical College as an Assistant Clinical Professor. Dr. Steven Jacobs' path to success as a neurosurgeon started with his postsecondary education. Dr. Steven Jacobs began his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley in 1970. After only three years, Dr. Steven Jacobs earned his Bachelor’s degree in Physiology. In 1973, Dr. Steven Jacobs enrolled in the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Immunology in 1978 and his Doctor of Medicine in 1980, pursuing studies in both degree programs simultaneously. Dr. Steven Jacobs continues to develop his professional expertise and share his knowledge, making several presentations at conferences each year and publishing medical research articles. In his limited free time, Dr. Steven Jacobs enjoys tennis and baseball, even making time to coach the New Canaan Little League baseball team.
