Dr. Susan Silver Pathologist

An anatomic pathologist employed in her own private practice, Dr. Susan Silver began her professional career upon completion of her postsecondary and graduate education. After graduating from Mount Holyoke College, she began working towards her Master of Science at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel. Dr. Susan Silver then earned her doctor of medicine at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

After earning her MD, Dr. Silver began an internship followed by a residency in pathology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Her postgraduate training also included a fellowship at the Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina and additional fellowship training in cytopathology at Johns Hopkins.

Throughout the 1990s, Dr. Silver accrued career experience in pathology throughout Maryland and the Washington, D.C., area. Currently, she operates a consultation practice based in Pittsburgh, where she provides second opinion diagnoses on a variety of tissues derived from surgical biopsies and resections, and from fine needle aspiration and Pap test specimens.
