Dr Wendell McAbee

An experienced radiologist and the current president of Middle Tennessee Radiology Associates, PC, Wendell McAbee has established himself as a dedicated and highly capable medical professional. Before attending medical school, he enlisted in the United States Army and served two years in Vietnam, where he received a Bronze Star for his service. After returning home, Wendell McAbee participated in the Vietnam Head Injury Study, which sparked his interest in neuroradiology.

After graduating from Austin Peay State University with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and physics, Wendell McAbee went on to pursue his MD from the University of Tennessee at Memphis. He completed his residency at Walter Reed and the Brooke Army Medical Center. Today, his position at Middle Tennessee Radiology Associates, PC, allows him to perform a full range of diagnostic procedures.

In his free time, Dr. McAbee enjoys competing in triathlons, cooking cuisines from around the world, and following Tennessee sports teams.
