Dee Ann Sibley

Minneapolis Minnesota

I like to travel the country roads and two-lane highways across the US, camping along the way. I never know where I'll end up or what might be there when I arrive, just that when I connect with something I have to photograph it. When that moment happens, I lose track of all time and place. I find inspiration in abandoned structures, weathered faces, and wistful people. My subjects are moments frozen in time, causing me to reflect in the here and now.

I focus on portraits that capture mood through light and composition. I have a strange sense of humor and a somewhat sarcastic take on life, and I often find beauty in that which is overlooked or considered unappealing. I like the untold story.
