Rick Durgin III
New England
I have been involved in endurance sports for 8 years. I started running 30 minutes, a few times a week, in an effort to lose the 100 extra pounds I had put on and to get healthier for the upcoming birth of my child. A year later, 100+ pounds lighter, and I was running my first marathon. Looking for a way to cross train and break up the monotonous routine of "just running", I found triathlon: Instantly, I was hooked. I immediately found myself a Coach for guidance and the rest is history. I have seen the multifaceted power of this sport in its ability to create lasting friendships, build tremendous self-esteem, and transform people, both physically and mentally.
I have a firsthand understanding of the challenges that come with balancing family, work, and training. I am very active with my 10-year-old daughter Madisyn who enjoyes gynastics, softball, and spending time with her family. I work as an Major Account Manager for Pitney Bowes and have competed at all levels of triathlon – from sprint distance to Ironman. As a Coach for e3ts, I will help dedicated athletes prepare a balanced training schedule, individually tailored to fit their lifestyle. I will assist you in your preparation for all race disciplines, in all areas of the sport, including nutrition, mental preparation, and – of course – disciplined physical training.
