Donald Jordan is the Director, Talent Systems & Instructional Design at Save Mart Supermarkets and oversees the company's talent systems (such as the Cornerstone Learning Management System and Achiever's platform), Employee Engagement & Culture programs, and the instructional design and development of internal training.

Previously, he was the Instructional Designer and Coordinator of E-Learning Initiatives at the University of the Pacific in California where his main interest was in faculty development and the application of pedagogy in the use of technology in education.

He has worked in higher education for 16 years in a variety of roles: first as a professor of English, teaching composition and critical thinking as well instructing classes in database design, internet studies, and introduction to computer programming, then managing a learning resource and tutoring center, serving as a registrar for a campus of 1600 students, and as a systems analyst for a system of 11 campuses serving over 12,000 students.

The results of his dissertation "Re-thinking Student Written Comments in Course Evaluations: Text Mining Unstructured Data for Program and Institutional Assessment" were presented at the Chicago 8th Annual Sloan-C Blended Learning Conference on March 28-29, 2011.

His most recent presentations include "Effective Document Management, Collaboration, and Feedback Using Google Docs" at the Sloan-C 6th Annual International Symposium on Emerging Technologies for Online Learning on April 11th, 2013 in Las Vegas and "Promoting Interactivity and Collaboration in an Online Program with Google+" at the Sloan-C 5th Annual International Symposium on Emerging Technologies for Online Learning on July 26th, 2012 in Las Vegas.
