Evan Ellis
Leader, Structure development, and Organization in Oakland, CA
I’m 5th of 7 children. I grew up unschooled. My father had a degree in forestry and was a pastor of a small church in the boondocks of Northern California.
I spent my teens in Idaho working on farms, riding bikes and skateboarding through neighborhoods, observing what I could of the world around me. Taught myself how to rebuild the engine for my first car.
I spent my young adulthood trying on various jobs, barista, baker, stocker, Oil change mechanic, Phone Tech Support, Learning & Development, most recently Small Business management.
I’ve lost it all before, and fought to get it back, and then given it all away. I’ve slept under the stars for 6 months straight, lived out of a suitcase for a year or more. And traveled through most of the US.
I Love:
Learning, through any means possible.
Making mistakes, see above.
Music, anything that stirs the soul.
Nature, all things respecting our planet.
Art, expression of the human experience.
Food, all things edible.
What Matters to Me:
“People are all that matter to me.” That’s what I’ve found in all of my time, I love to help people, ask me about it.
