Ed Roberts

Ed Roberts is a designer, writer, speaker and award-winning creative director who leads a high-performing corporate in-house team of creative superheroes. Ed is a program partner charged with planning the In-house Management sessions at the 2015 HOW Design Live Conference being held in Chicago, May 4-8. HDL is produced by F+W Media.

Ed has interviewed some of the advertising and design industries most forward-thinking leaders from Chermayeff, Geismar & Haviv Partner Sagi Haviv to Garden & Gun magazine Art Director Marshall McKinney. He also wrote the first American review of Typographer Craig Ward’s book Popular Lies About Graphic Design.

Ed writes essays focused on design, strategic thinking and corporate creative management posted on The InHOWse Designer Blog and The Creative Group Blog. Ed has also been published in HOW magazine and conducted national webinars available for download on mydesignshop.com.

Ed serves on the board of InSource as the Director of Marketing and is co-president of the American Advertising Federation Raleigh-Durham chapter. He recently developed, along with several insightful advertising professionals, a summer internship program for high school students that received the prestigious American Advertising Federation's Mosaic Award.
