Ed Young

Ed Young of Grapevine, Texas splits his time between his work as a TV host, best-selling author, and community leader. Pastor Young is the son of Dr. Ed Young, the Senior Pastor of the Second Baptist Church in Houston, and was raised in the traditions and faith of the Southern Baptist Convention, which instilled in him a lifelong dedication to Christian principles and values. After playing Division I basketball at Florida State University, Pastor Young returned to his native Texas and subsequently earned his Bachelor's degree from Houston Baptist University. He later continued his education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, where he completed a Master of Divinity.

Beginning his career as a pastor in his father's church, Ed Young went on to establish Fellowship Church in 1990, and he quickly grew the congregation by reaching out to the people that other churches could not reach. Since then, he has expanded Fellowship Church to satellite locations in Plano, Dallas, Fort Worth, and South Miami, along with an online community and a new campus in Midtown Miami. Each week, individuals come together at these places of worship to hear God's word and nourish their faith.

In tandem with his activities at Fellowship Church, Pastor Young hosts the weekly series Ed Young Television on ABC Family, speaks at Christian conferences around the world, and maintains several popular websites that address creative leadership, fashion, and communication within the ministry. An author as well, he has written more than a dozen books, including the bestseller Sexperiment, which explores the relationship between marriage, intimacy, and faith in the modern world.
