Edison Dance Company

An organization established in 2012 out of Edison High School. Founded and directed by Moenike Sims, EDC is committed to excellence in education and personal development. Students gain knowledge in the historical and fundamental techniques of dance; dance etiquette, dance disciplines, and business-entertainment.

Edison Dance Company is bridging the gap between race, diverse cultures and communities. EDC has performed at many various events, some of which are Tulsa Public Schools, Theatrical Productions, Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club, for the president of the Tulsa Hispanic Chamber, Tulsa Chamber of Commerce, were special guest at the annual John Hope Franklin Reconciliation Dinner, St. Francis Children's Hospital, Apollo Theater, Central Park, Sickle Cell Awareness Events, Food on the Move and Edison Preparatory School functions.

In 2013, former Mayor of Tulsa Bill Lafortune presented a Proclamation to EDC, honoring and recognizing the company. All District Councilors of The Tulsa City Council signed the declaration.

Edison Dance Company is available for corporate, private and public events.
