Edmond Atalla

Edmond has lived in the Blacktown/Mt Druitt area (Western Sydney) for over 40 years.

Edmond has held senior positions in both Local Government and the Private Sector over the past 16 years. He currently holds the Position of National Business Process Manager, a position responsible for the policy formulation and business improvement for a major housing company.

Edmond has been a member of the Australian Labor Party for over 22 years. He is currently the Branch Secretary and Campaign Director of the Rooty Hill Branch and has held this position for many years. He also currently holds various other party positions, including Delegate to the Mt Druitt SEC, Chifley FEC, and NSW State Conference. Edmond has also held various other Party positions, including, President and Secretary of the Blacktown Local Government Committee and Branch Vice-President.

In March 2004 Edmond was elected to Blacktown City Council as an ALP Councillor. Edmond is working very hard in representing his constituents and making a difference to improving the quality of life for future generations. Edmond was elected as Deputy Mayor in 2007/2008 and is currently the ALP Caucus Secretary.

As an elected member, Edmond currently Chairs Council’s Planning and Development Committee as well as Council’s Historical Committee. Edmond is also a Director to the WSROC Board (Vice-President 2009/2010). He is also a member of several other Council Committees and Sub-Committees. Edmond is also a Patron to the Mt Druitt Historical Society.
