I want to live in a better world, and (being an optimist) I believe it is possible. I want to make it happen soon enough to be part of it, so I take every opportunity to give my small contribution to smarter cities and sustainability.
And by doing this I've developed very little tolerance for idiots.
I believe that the power of communities, more than anything else, can change the world. I am deputy director at ISMB, working hard to promote this vision in the (sometimes too conservative) world of (applied) research and innovation.
