As a CPA with almost 20 years in public practice, it became clear to me why CPAs are so proud of their work ethic. With few exceptions, our main strategy is brute force. With a few notable exceptions, CPAs share the weaknesses of our business-owner clients.

Business owners, CPAs included, know things need to change. Business failure rates over 95% in the first 10 years highlight an unmet need for business education that works. The information we need and a unique perspective of our relationship with our business provides new directions.

My discipline and training as a CPA left me ill-prepared to meet clients’ most pressing business problems. I have had, and am addressing the following challenges in my own practice:

* Overwhelm * Time Management * Strategic Development * Management - Creating a high performance environment. * Qualify of Life

I’ve taken responsibility for these challenges and am helping other business owners do the same. I’m a mentor who is in your corner, who hears you, understands your experience, and challenges you with care.

Like most business owners, CPAs suffer the combined stress of long hours, limited time for their families and their lives. Adding extended busy seasons to the mix, CPAs risk job burn out. Burn out brings low job performance, little job satisfaction, and compromised health. Worse, we find ourselves working endless hours on tasks for which we have little passion or aptitude.

In addition to clients’ financial and tax needs, my passion is to bring EMyth’s simple, tried-and-true processes to business owners. Giving them insight into 7 dynamics that make all business function at a world class level. I bring a perspective that illuminates blind spots with surprising accuracy.

I help business owners identify areas of weakness in their business and work through a curriculum customized to their specific wants and needs. Their businesses become more profitable and they begin to enjoy more life - time with their family and activities that enrich their lives.
