Edward Whitley
I teach at Lehigh University and am a scholar of nineeenth-century American literature. In 2010 I published my first book, American Bards: Walt Whitman and Other Unlikely Candidates for National Poet, and in 2014 I edited (with Joanna Levin) a collection of essays titled Whitman among the Bohemians. I've worked as a teaching consultant for The Norton Anthology of American Literature, and, with Robert Weidman, I run The Vault at Pfaff's, a website about the literary bohemians of antebellum New York.
