Edwin P. Sallan was only 18 when his first record review was published by Jingle Chordbook Magazine, once the premier music publication in the Philippines.

Following his three-year stint as Contributing Editor for Jingle, he then went on a five-year hiatus to finish his Economics degree before starting his corporate career at the Philippine National Bank.

While at PNB, he returned as a music columnist for the now-defunct Manila Chronicle. This was followed by lengthy stints as a regular contributor for other media outlets like The Manila Times, Manila Bulletin and InterAksyon.com, the online news portal of TV5.

Since then, Edwin has also written and edited articles on various subjects for some of the Philippines' most popular magazines including FHM, Maxim, Men's Health, Mega, T3 and GamesMaster magazines as well as Guam's Uno and Singapore's Silver Lining.

Edwin is also one of the authors of Tikman Ang Langit: An Anthology On the Eraserheads, the bestselling book about the hitmaking Filipino rock band.

He is currently the Special Projects Editor for BusinessMirror, the Philippines' top business daily known for its broader look at today's business. In the same media outfit, he is the editor for BMPlus, BusinessMirror's online only section for news and features and SoundStrip, the broadsheet's weekly music pullout section.
