Software Engineer, Web Developer, and Architect in Stockholm, Sverige

Experienced SW architect and developer with broad spectrum of interest. Celebrating 30 years in the business. Full stack dev, more or less.

I love simplicity, and refactoring is the king. Bloating is an inherent threat in engineering and must be actively be fought. Toss the tosh! Change is good. Architecture should be lean and clean. Languages too. I dislike over-engineering, limiting licensing, narrow-minded platform warfare and coding style talibans.

Accomplishments (high and low)

Wrote a poem-generating Basic programme in school, 1979, and got one of the poems published (to my utter surprise).

Translated "The C Programming Language" by Kernighan & Ritchie to Swedish.

Built a LabVIEW-based laser control and data collection system for Time-of-fligh Electron Spectroscopy at Uppsala University, Sweden. No, I didn't get a Nobel Prize, but my boss did.

Designed and built prototype electronics and software for an acoustic disdrometer (rain gauge with no moving parts).

Built a Windows MFC based system for drawing graphical train schedules for the Swedish Railways.

Co-designed a system for pension fund trading for the entire working population in Sweden. Should have handled daily trading of €500M, but the politicians killed the project. Bastards.
