CEO in Boston, MA

Possessing a passion for digital transformation and market disruption, Elaine has had a longstanding career successfully bringing innovative software solutions to market. Having scaled two Internet classified brands from ground start to exit, Elaine knows what it takes to turn an idea into a product - a product into a brand - and a brand into a viable business. Her ability to operate at all levels of an organization and to translate high level strategy into actionable plans for her teams is what has allowed her to achieve repeat success.

Elaine was named the CEO of Nimbio in June ‘22, to help the founders scale the company to execute against a strategy focused on leveraging their patented, innovative access control technology to create performance improvements in last mile delivery. Within 1 year she raised two rounds of funding totaling $6M, scaled the team from 5 to over 20 employees, built a vibrant remote company culture, rebranded, professionalized company operations and was able to entice 10+ major delivery brands, critical to the strategy, to engage in exploratory conversations.

From late 2018-early 2022 she supported Ray Dalio, in the commercialization and launch of several of the tools referenced in his best-selling book Principles Life & Work.

As the CEO and co-founder of Tributes.com, Elaine led two rounds of financing, raising $5M to fund the online obituary classified brand in 2008. Within the first few years the company achieved break-even status generating $2-3M in annual revenue. By 2015 over 6M consumers and thousands of funeral homes were relying on the Tributes brand each month to locate and publish obituary news. Elaine successfully and single- handedly orchestrated the sale of Tributes to its largest competitor and the category leader – Legacy.com – in the spring of 2015. Following the sale, Elaine operated as Legacy’s Chief Data Officer, Chief Product Officer & COO for 2 years, overseeing the execution of the company's strategic and operational plans and ultimately played a pivotal role in the sale of Legacy in March 2017 to a Boston-based private equity firm.

Prior to Tributes, Elaine was one of 3 executives at Switchboard.com, the first online yellow & white pages, that took the Company from startup to IPO to successful acquisition of $160M, successfully building out one of the early local advertising platforms on the Web.
