Elizabeth McGuire is a writer, photographer and mother of three. After years as a communications consultant, she now trains her eye on the people nearest to her heart.
Her blog captures the small moments that tell the big stories of family life. Some of her recent narrative essays have been featured on Huffington Post, BlogHer, Reader’s Digest and the upcoming Babble's Best of Blogs Anthology. The tone of her work has been described as "refreshingly grateful."
Liz was a member of the inaugural 2011 cast of Austin’s Listen to Your Mother show, a national series of live stage productions featuring stories about motherhood. She co-produced and performed in the 2012 and 2013 shows.
In 2012 one of her essays was selected as a BlogHer Voices of the Year and was published in their Voices of the Year Anthology.
When Liz is not aiming her camera at her own family, she is documenting other people’s stories at ewmcguirephoto.com. Her latest photography project is capturing the witty and whimsical graffiti of Austin and turning it into sleek, modern works of art.
She and her family live in Austin, Texas.
