I have discovered a passion for photography. Since borrowing my mother’s beat up Minolta for a visual communications project in college, I have tried to expand my understanding of digital photography and editing. I am not a photo purist. I approach raw images as a blank canvas, altering and adjusting to create scenes that represent a subject and/or draw strong emotion from the viewer. Since taking up photography as a hobby I have photographed several countries, bands, families, events, weddings, models, etc. Emphasizing portrait work by choice, I have discovered a special appreciation for capturing the expressive nature of people. Traveling around the world on a few occasions for my day job as a Communications Professional, I have also been able to capture unique perspectives from a variety of people and places at home and abroad.
