Ellen Naismith

Hurstbridge Melbourne

I am a graphic designer, accessible design consultant, project manager, art director, writer, artist, illustrator, wife and mother. I have a busy life, and I love it that way :) I am working with local government to improve access for people with disabilities through developing public awareness, and promoting services that support them to participate in the community. Examples can be viewed via my LinkedIn page (link below) I have run Life Drawing Classes at Allwood House in Hurstbridge for 3 years, and will switch to larger scale Life Drawing Workshops in 2014. There is such joy in a room full of creative people who are drawing and having fun (email me for notification of upcoming workshops). My life drawings and other artworks can be seen here http://www.oilin.deviantart.com I was recently bitten by the writing bug and completed my first novella "Wanderer" in October and have started work on a sequel (Click bitly.com/wandererPDF to sign up for a free copy). I have also written two childrens' books which feature my youngest daughter who has severe autism. They are fun tales of her superpowers, and through them I hope to raise awareness and improve acceptance of autism. I will start illustrating them in 2014. I am also very excited that my short graphic story "Toby vs Armageddon" will be brought to life by my best friend and artistic genius David Dunstan (aka LoopyDave http://www.loopydave.deviantart.com https://www.facebook.com/pages/Art-of-Loopydave/158913267493746), who will do the art. It will be released at Supanova Melbourne in April 2014.
