I am a mama to 6. Two are adopted from Ethiopia. We are passionate as a family about orphan care and Ethiopia. We have been blessed to return often to Ethiopia to help with a community development project in one of our sons village in rural, Southern Ethiopia and to provide much needed dental care.
We are inspired by those committed to making a difference in the lives of others, those that refuse to sit by and allow gross injustice and poverty to exist. That is why I am a big fan of the Adventure Project. The Adventure Project is currently fighting rural hunger by supporting small farmers through the innovative and low cost solution of a Kickstart irrigation pump. These pumps are effectively empowering farmers to lift their own families out of poverty. Go to:oneto1000to learn how to increase a farmers income 1,000%. 1000%!!!
Our 4 year old son has a large family in Ethiopia, all farmers. The thought of the difference this pump would make in their lives is overwhelming. Prayerfully the pump would end the need for any child to need to be relinquished. We love our child more than anything, but the harsh reality is that lack of adequate nutrition is exactly the reason we call him ours today.
Support this effort. Worth it!
