Emily O’Neill is an entrepreneur, a 1st Lieutenant in the NH Army National Guard, and a Republican Candidate seeking to represent Bedford, NH in the State Legislature.

Emily provides small businesses and non-profits with public relations and marketing strategies through her own consulting firm, Silver Key Communications, LLC. In addition to her civilian career, she serves as a public affairs officer for a Field Artillery unit.

She is a New Hampshire native, and was raised in New Boston, the youngest of four daughters. Remaining close with her family, Emily assists her parents with a clothing business.

Education

Emily received her B.A. in Communication with High Honors from the University of New Hampshire (UNH). She earned her commission as an officer from the UNH Army ROTC program and was a Distinguished Military Graduate. While in school, Emily led two conservative student organizations, held various leadership roles within ROTC, and trained one weekend a month with a NH Army National Guard unit.

Early Career and Military Service

Following a media internship with a popular National conservative student organization, Emily worked as a press secretary for a high-profile member of Congress. She then shifted her focus to her military career, completing a three-month long Human Resources Course at Fort Jackson, SC, continuing her service as a human resources officer in the Washington, DC Army National Guard.

In additional to her traditional role as a Guardsman, Emily served on orders to develop strategic plans and created a comprehensive antiterrorism manual for the DC National Guard's Joint Force Headquarters.

Key Issues: Taxes, Budgeting, and the Economy

As an entrepreneur, Emily understands the importance of government stepping aside, and allowing businesses to thrive on their own. Government red tape and burdensome taxes stifle innovation and growth.

These problematic taxes and regulations are often the consequence of reckless spending. With responsible measures put in place, NH should have what every family is expected to maintain: a sensible, balanced budget.

Emily will never vote to raise taxes nor place senseless restrictions on businesses. She will make every effort to cut spending and ensure that tax dollars are spent appropriately and carefully.
