
Eric Hamilton is an internet, web, search marketing and social media veteran with over 20 years of technology work experience. In addition to being the CEO of AdSmoke (a digital video ad network specializing in user generated content monetization), Eric is the founder of the Web Academy, an online web school which recently reached its 4000th enrollment. Eric is the owner of Web Developers of New York, a Manhattan based web design and consulting firm. Eric is a board member for the upcoming CrowdFunding website Crowd40.com. In addition, Eric is the NewME NYC Community Leader. NewME Community works to bring resources to startups who have minority founders.
Eric worked for Yahoo! as an Engagement Manager supporting Yahoo! Web Analytics which is Yahoo’s enterprise level analytics solution. In addition, Eric supported Yahoo!'s search and display networks. Eric has a software patent pending for "Methods for displaying digital video ads over UGC" and was recently featured in Black Enterprise Magazine giving tips on Social Media.
Eric is the author of 4 different technology books: Social Media Branding in the Age of Obama, Intro to Wordpress, Advanced Wordpress and Google App Inventor.
Eric is from Detroit, Michigan, has a BS in Computer Science from Michigan State University, is a ToastMaster Humorous Speech NYC area champion and he is active in the community with local NYC high school science fairs as a Computer Science judge.
