In 2015 I ran 12 races, including 2 half-marathons and exceeded my goal of running 500 miles for the year. My goal for 2016 was to run a total of 1000 miles including my first full marathon. That all changed on December 11, 2015 when I was admitted to the ER with severe abdominal pain. Instead of being told I had appendicitis, I was told there was a possibility I had ovarian cancer. I have been in remission since May 13, 2016. Completed my first post cancer half marathon in April 2017, and am training for the Chicago Marathon in October 2017. I am running the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition 5K on May 20th.

Please consider joining me that morning to walk, or donating to my personal page. Time is running out for me to meet my goal!
