Erica Crouch is a bookish 20 year old. She is working towards a degree in Creative Writing, with a specialization in Fiction, at Southern New Hampshire University. Erica was invited to become a member of the National Society for Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) because of her "academic excellence." In the future, she would love to become a published author and become an editor.

Erica attends SNHU online. The online educational environment is nothing new for her; as a junior in high school (after being diagnosed with an illness), she became a student at a distance education institute. Her educational independence has resulted in her organizational expertise, self-motivational skills, and maturity burgeoning more so than that of an average teenager. Distance learning has truly been a blessing for Erica because it has allowed her to continue her education, even while she is sick.

SNHU seemed like a natural step for Erica after completing her first two years of college at UMUC with a 4.0 and graduating 3rd from her online high school. Ever since she began taking online classes, an interest in distance learning and it's benefits for both students and teachers began to take root.

Erica lives on the outskirts of Baltimore, Maryland with her family. She spends her idle hours reading, writing, or listening to/playing music. Her favorite books are "Night Circus"; "The Great Gatsby"; "The Book Thief" and "Memoirs of a Geisha." Erica is an adroit pianist and ukulele player, but can also play the trombone, viola, and the guitar. Outside her interest in literature and music, she also enjoys studying subjects such as forensic anthropology and humanities. Erica is a strong supporter of human rights. Her heroes are John Green, Brian Williams, Tina Fey and J.K. Rowling.
