Erica Wolff

Project Manager and Editor in Orange County, CA

- I was born in a town with a name so long, I often forget the spelling.

- My wife and I knew each other for 5 years before we started dating - hovering on the periphery of each other's lives until we crashed together. It changed everything in our lives - for the better.

- We ran away to San Francisco and got married on 12/21/21. It was raining and perfect.

- We managed a long-distance relationship for a year.

- I married her with the name McEachern, however that was my prior married name. We chose Wolff together. It's an old family name of hers, and the story behind it is just chef's kiss. No, I am not sharing it here.

- I think the family you choose outshines the family you are born into.

- I'm learning about forgiveness. There's a lot to do around that.

- While I started my career as a tech writer, my evolution into editing and content development has been a struggle but supremely satisfying. I am at home in tension between technology and content.

- If you don't love the Oxford comma, you are wrong, and we can't be friends.

- I'm animated, from my Muppet-hair to my hand gestures. Also, I'm usually the one with the loudest laugh in the room.

- I collect pens, Underwood typewriters, idiom dictionaries, and notebooks with interesting paper. I rarely write in the notebooks, which is a bit silly.

- I came out after being married for 9 years. My "ex-husband" is really my best friend. I love the family we built post-marriage. It includes both of our people, four dogs, and the regular holidays together. Sometimes growing apart allows space for you to grow together, in new ways.

- Favorite consumables include: coffee (with a splash of hazelnut), whiskey, Pringles (recently, and reluctantly rediscovered), roasted carrots, the perfect asparagus, and eggs Benedict.

- I avoid, at all costs: cilantro (tastes like soap), country music, raw tomatoes, spiders, flying palmetto bugs (I have so many awful stories of them going for my hair), open water, Conservatives.

- I'm softer than I look.

- I will try anything once. Okay, usually twice, but make the final decision on the third. :)

- If I were any punctuation, I would be an exclamation mark!
