After graduating with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Montana State University, Eric took a job with Department of Defense as a Nuclear Engineer. He worked as a Nuclear Engineer for 3 years then started a Non-profit called Water And Sanitation Health (www.waterandsanitationhealth.com) and joined the Peace Corps. Eric was placed in a small town in the western mountains of Honduras where he lived for a little over two years. Eric designed drinking water systems, worked with mid-wives, and directed HIV-AIDS awareness program.
When he came back to the states, he founded a company called Eco Cafe, www.ecocafeonline.com. The company raises money for water projects by importing and selling organic fair trade coffee that is grown and roasted in my honduran village by a cooperative of small independent farmers.
Eric recently graduated from Law School at University of Washington, specializing in Intellectual Property Law. He settled his first lawsuit in 2013 against Dole Banana for environmental and social harms in Guatemala. See news coverage by Komo News:
