I love the Portland area, it has great diversity of opportunity, landscape and people. Here, I was able to climb Mount St. Helens on a perfect day - we could see forever in every direction. It was tough, but worth every minute on the trail.

One of my favorite quotes is from Chuck Jones, referring to his cartoon character Wile E. Coyote: "He keeps trying, over and over and over. That trait is possibly the only thing that all creative people have in common. They don’t give up."

Do what you love. Learn something new. Never give up.
