Mr. Azar is a computer scientist and has over 30 years' experience architecting and developing software in the areas of security, network engineering, system administration, and enterprise applications; having worked in diverse positions in companies ranging from startups to fortune 500 companies.

He's currently a Principal GenAI and Infrastructure Architect in the Strategy and Innovation team working on Large Language Models and GenAI platforms and infrastructure at Florida Blue.

He's a dedicated macOS and Linux hobbyist, who enjoys kernel hacking while experimenting with various single board computers building electronics projects.

He is the author of the “Swift Data Structures and Algorithms” for Apple’s new Swift programming language, available at Amazon and Packt Publishing.

In his spare time, he enjoys mentoring students in STEM coursework focusing on robotics and IoT architectures, working on his cars and motorcycle, and participating in motorsport shows across the United States.

In late July of 2023 he embarked on the Ultimate Coast to Coast Insanity motorcycle challenge. Riding his 2022 BMW R1250GS Adventure from Key West, FL to the Arctic Ocean in Tuktoyaktuk, Nothwest Territories, then to the northern most point in Prudhoe Bay, AK, down through Denali and the Kenai Peninsula and back to Florida covering 16,000 miles riding solo over 5 weeks..
