Esau Acosta creates diverse architectural works in an open format. Interested in all that is related to informal city processes & developments, design and urban studies. Works exhibited in the II Biennale dello Spazio Pubblico (Rome), Architectural Lisbon Trienale 2013 (Portugal), EME 3 festival (BCN), Tokyo Wonder Site -Open Studio 2013- (Aoyama Tokyo), TWS Shibuya -with Claudia Larcher- (Tokyo), FreshMadrid, 72 hour (Terni-Italy), Mies Van der Rohe 2007 awards, Valladolid TEDx talks. Awarded with DETAIL PRIZE 2009 (Germany), First prize Bauwelt 09 in Second Nature category (Germany), Special Mention in AR Awards for Emerging Architecture (London), Finalist at City Category in FAD Awards 08 (Barcelona), and selected at Mies Van Der Rohe Awards 2009. Architect in resident at Tokyo Wonder Site 2013 (Institute of Contemporary arts & International Cultural Exchange). His PFC project degree: Housing industrialized in Miraflores de la Sierra was awarded with accesit prize at the contest Urban Solutions 05 by the Ministry of Housing, and finalist in the PFC award Pasajes-Iguzzini. Contributor writer in magazines Diseñart and Pasajes Diseño during the years 2008-2010. He has given talks at universities and participated in seminars/congresss in USA, Germany, Italy, UK and Spain, as well as his work has been published in over 30 magazines and books in Asia, America and Europe. Currently he is co-developing the project MAPPE (Mapping pushing empowerment).
